THE PIOUS MAN AND THE DOG( Mercy)

[size=29] Once upon a time ,there was a pious man

who set out on a journey from his village to look for his livelihood .After he
had travelled some distance he began to feel hungry and thirsty



He looked around for any source of water
however, there was none to be found.


As he continued walking , he came upon a well.
He shouted:"Praise be to Allah. praise be to Allah, He has saved me from death"

He descended with difficulty down into the well. When he reached the water he drank and drank until his thirst was quenched. The man thanked Allah and climbed out of the well to continue on his journey


When he had climbed out of the well he was surprised to find a dog standing near it. He continued watching the dog until he said to himself : "The dog must be thirsty just as I was." In fact the dog was so thirsty that it was licking the sand . The man said :"I must get some water for this dog".
"But how can I get the water out of the well when I have nothing in
which to carry it?"


As he thought ,he kept repeating " What should I do ?What should I do?" suddenly he exclaimed , "Oh yes , I've got it " He took off his shoes descended into the well and filled the shoes with water before he climbed out of the well.

As soon as the dog saw the man , it came bounding towards him . The dog lapped up the water and the man was pleased . Allah accepted the good deed of the pious man because of it he entered Paradise. [/size]
