Studio is a collection of tools that form an advanced render pipeline
that is both easy to use and fully customizable. From Maya scene
translation, to network rendering, to compositing . . . RenderMan

RenderMan Studio includes:

RenderMan for Maya Pro
Integrates tightly with Maya to provide a bridge to Pixar's RenderMan.
RIB Out - With the ability to write 3D data, called RIB, RenderMan for
Maya Pro offers new horizons for flexibility and programmability
required for sophisticated render pipelines.
RIB Archives - The ability to read RIB archives opens up new workflows, for both efficiency and creativity.
RIF Filters - Use filters to modify RIB files to build custom pipeline.
RiProcedural Plugins - Extend the capabilities of the renderer or the
modeler with custom DSO's and DSO Shade Ops, which can be used to
create procedural geometry, feathers, and custom shaders ... for just a
few examples.
RI for MEL - Another Pro feature is the ability to
insert RIB into the Maya scene using MEL scripts, providing almost
unlimited flexibility for custom solutions.
RSL Nodes in Hypershade
- With the Pro version RSL templates make it much easier to author
custom Maya Materials using the RenderMan Shading Language

The complete solution for shader management and creation. Build shaders
